HUNTINGTON, N.Y. – Taking effect this year, Matthew J. Curry was named President of the Townwide Fund of Huntington, Inc. Matt was previously the First Vice President and has been a volunteer board member for over six years. The Townwide Fund of Huntington, Inc. is a non-profit charity that was established in 1961 and raises money to distribute to local charities in the Huntington Township. The funds raised by the Townwide Fund support veterans, food insecurity, mental health services, seniors, and many other critical needs.
Matt has also joined the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Corporate Advisory Board. The Corporate Advisory Board is composed of local business leaders with a primary goal of raising funds through their annual golf tournament and increasing awareness of the Laboratory within the business community. Founded in 1890, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has shaped contemporary biomedical research and education with programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, and quantitative biology.
