LAS VEGAS – The UNLV Collegiate 100 chapter proudly presents Week 2 of its Fall 2025 Professional Workshop Series, featuring “Be Skilled,” an AI presentation inspired by the book Death of a Job and delivered by futurist and author Mike Johns..

The session will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tam Alumni Hall, UNLV. The featured speaker is Mike Johns, futurist, technology strategist, and founder of Digital Mind State.

Johns is widely known for his book Death of a Job, which challenges traditional ideas about employment and reimagines how AI will influence careers, entrepreneurship, and the creator economy. In this thought provoking session, Johns will explain the urgent importance of AI literacy, highlighting how artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, creating new career paths, and requiring students and professionals to develop new skills to stay competitive. His presentation will emphasize how embracing AI opens opportunities in media, technology, and business innovation. As a special feature, a complimentary AI assessment will be offered to every attendee. This assessment will provide participants with a clear picture of their current AI literacy level and identify areas for growth, giving them an actionable roadmap for advancing their skills.

The Week 2 Be Skilled presentation is a call to action for students and young professionals to rethink how they approach education, career readiness, and entrepreneurship in an economy where AI is the driving force of change.
