MIAMI – South Miami Neurology is proud to announce the addition of Dyanet Alvarez, MD, a board-certified neurologist with specialized training in epilepsy, to its team of esteemed physicians. Dr. Alvarez brings experience and a strong commitment to improving the lives of patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
Dr. Alvarez completed her medical degree at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She went on to complete both her neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. A South Miami native, Dr. Alvarez is excited to return to her hometown to provide compassionate, personalized care for the community she knows and loves.
Her clinical specialties include epilepsy, seizures, headaches, migraines, general neurology, and neurophysiology. She has a particular interest in women’s health in epilepsy and is dedicated to helping patients manage seizures and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Alvarez will also provide care at South Miami Hospital, extending her reach to more patients across the region. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is passionate about building strong patient relationships and delivering holistic, individualized care.
