Clear Choice Dermatology is expanding access to advanced healing solutions for patients in Central Oregon and surrounding communities.

REDMOND, Ore. – Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive treatment that involves breathing 100% oxygen in a pressurized chamber, allowing the body to absorb significantly higher levels of oxygen than under normal conditions. This influx of oxygen helps accelerate the body’s natural healing processes by enhancing tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and improving circulation.

HBOT is an advanced medical treatment that has been shown to benefit a wide range of health concerns. It is FDA-approved and covered by insurance for certain conditions, including infections, radiation injuries and compromised skin grafts or flaps. HBOT is also used in the treatment of  crash injuries and carbon monoxide poisoning. Because the therapy works by saturating the blood and tissues with oxygen, it can accelerate the healing of wounds, reduce swelling and inflammation, and improve circulation in areas of the body that have been deprived of adequate oxygen supply. While not every condition qualifies for insurance coverage, many patients also find HBOT helpful as part of a comprehensive treatment plan when facing challenges with slow-healing wounds, tissue damage, or other complex health issues.

“We’re excited to bring this cutting-edge therapy to the Madras community,” said David Greene, MD. “HBOT offers our patients another avenue to improve healing outcomes and overall skin health, particularly when conventional treatments have not been successful.”

Consultations are required to determine eligibility and whether HBOT is the appropriate course of care. Patients, referring providers, and members of the community can contact the Madras office for more information or to schedule a consultation.

“Adding HBOT allows us to provide even more comprehensive care to our patients here in Central Oregon,” said Shelby Bennett, PA-C. “This therapy has the potential to significantly improve outcomes for patients who have struggled to heal using traditional approaches.”
