Gaize Launches Multi-Language Support for Impairment Detection Technology

Gaize has launched support for Spanish, French and Canadian French for its cutting edge impairment detection technology.

MISSOULA, Mont. — Gaize, the industry leader in drug impairment detection technology, today announced the addition of Spanish, French, and Canadian French language support to its platform’s voiceover functionality. This multilingual expansion is designed to better serve diverse workforces in North America and beyond, making Gaize’s eye movement-based testing more accessible, inclusive, and effective across a broader range of industries.

Gaize’s platform uses cutting-edge eye movement analysis to identify signs of impairment based on Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) protocols. The test is self-guided through a virtual reality headset, using automated voice prompts to administer a standardized battery of tests. With the addition of Spanish, French, and Canadian French language options, organizations with multilingual teams can now ensure that all employees clearly understand test instructions, reducing confusion and increasing the accuracy of results.

“This is an important milestone in our mission to make impairment detection safer, fairer, and more accessible for everyone,” said Ken Fichtler, Founder and CEO of Gaize. “In industries like construction, manufacturing, transportation, and energy—where safety is critical and workforces are incredibly diverse—language barriers can make traditional testing less effective. Our new multilingual support helps eliminate that problem.”

Multilingual support is included for all current Gaize customers at no additional cost. Admin users can simply select the preferred language for each test from within the platform interface. The headset will then guide the test subject through the full DRE protocol in their native language using regionally appropriate phrasing and pronunciation.

This update reflects Gaize’s continued investment in customer-driven innovation and workplace inclusivity. By prioritizing usability for frontline employees—regardless of language—Gaize further empowers employers to implement a safety program that’s accurate, fair, and legally defensible.

Gaize is currently used across a wide range of safety-sensitive industries in North America, including by major construction firms, logistics providers, and manufacturing companies. The technology offers an alternative to outdated chemical testing methods by detecting real-time physiological signs of impairment rather than the mere presence of substances. This focus on impairment—rather than usage—helps protect both workplace safety and employee rights.

“We believe safety should be universal, and that means making our tools available and effective for everyone—no matter what language they speak,” said Fichtler.
