Noah Coughlan entered New York after completing Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont in extreme winter conditions on his FIFTH transcontinental Run across America.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Noah Coughlan is on the verge of making history as only the THIRD person to cross every U.S. State entirely on foot. Noah advanced further toward this monumental achievement by completing Vermont (his 42nd state) and entering New York (his 43rd) near Hoosick. His route will take him through Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo.

On the “Run For America: A Tribute to The American People” Noah continues to push forward with unwavering determination amid challenging winter conditions, fatigue, and physical demands. He runs solo, pushing a jogging stroller loaded with supplies and flying a large American flag.

His mission remains to honor everyday Americans and veterans, foster unity, and celebrate the enduring spirit of the nation while inspiring a deeper appreciation for our shared history.

Coughlan has continued his tradition of meaningful connections along the way, engaging with World War II veterans, elected officials, active-duty military members, schools, students, and countless everyday citizens.

For most, such extreme endurance would be overwhelming, but Coughlan draws from deep experience: he has already completed FOUR full coast-to-coast Runs across America (in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2023) and a 600-mile run around Ireland in 2020.

As of late December 2025, Coughlan is well into his journey, having covered significant mileage across the northeastern states. He will finish the continental U.S. in Oregon around May 2026. He will then run 1000 miles across Alaska before culminating the epic trek across all 50 states on July 4, 2026, America’s 250th birthday, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
