Rent Like A Champion adds market capacity and new customers to expand its national footprint in college town markets and youth sports destinations
CHESAPEAKE, Va. & CHICAGO – Rent Like A Champion, a short-term vacation rental platform headquartered in Chicago, IL, has acquired CollegeWeekends, a short-term rental platform focused on college towns based in Chesapeake, VA.
“The merger helps solidify Rent Like A Champion as the largest college town focused short-term rental platform in the country providing renters with more lodging options in these markets,” said Dave Longwell, President of Rent Like A Champion.
The acquisition provides Rent Like A Champion with added market presence and access to new customers. Over the past five years, CollegeWeekends has expanded into new markets across the country with listings in over 25 markets and will extend Rent Like a Champion’s national footprint.
“The consolidation of the short-term rental industry is an opportunity for emerging platforms to combine and build capacity and market presence, and we believe merging with Rent Like A Champion will provide the new entity with a strong and expanded foothold in an attractive market niche,” says John Cunningham, President of CollegeWeekends.
No terms of the deal were announced, but the consolidated company will operate under the Rent Like A Champion name.
