Esteban Steven Escobar continues as Executive Publisher following strategic leadership alignment
LOS ANGELES – Diversity News Magazine and Diversity News Media Brands announce a leadership transition as Esteban Steven Escobar has officially stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and President of both Diversity News Magazine and Diversity News Media Brands.
Effective immediately, Tere Hernandez has been appointed as the new CEO and President of both organizations. Hernandez brings over two decades of leadership and operational experience in hospitality and senior management with one of Southern California’s top casino and hotel operations, demonstrating expertise in organizational leadership, large-scale operations, and strategic growth. She will continue in her current professional role while leading the organizations, bringing her extensive experience to this executive capacity.
In her new role, Hernandez will oversee corporate operations, organizational management, and strategic initiatives for both the magazine and its parent company, positioning the organizations for continued development and expansion. Her appointment reflects a strategic realignment of executive responsibilities to strengthen operational efficiency and leadership continuity.
Esteban Steven Escobar, founder and former CEO and President of Diversity News Media Brands, and former CEO of Diversity News Magazine, will continue to serve as Executive Publisher of Diversity News Magazine, focusing on editorial leadership, brand vision, partnerships, and content strategy. Escobar also recently accepted an appointment as a volunteer Board Member of the Northridge South Neighborhood Council, representing and advocating for community members whose voices are often unrepresented in local decision-making and acting as a liaison to City Hall.
This leadership transition maintains the organizations’ mission and core values of promoting diversity, inclusion, and truth in media while ensuring strong executive leadership and operational growth.
